COVER PICTURE:
The apical colocalization of decay-accelerating factor (CD55, red) and neutrophils
(stained for CD11b, green) by confocal laser microscopy, indicating that inhibitory
anti-CD55 antibodies result in clustering of neutrophils on the apical aspect of
columnar epithelial cells. Such observations provide visual insight into mechanisms
of inflammatory lesion formation at mucosal surfaces.
