Cover picture: Confocal microscopy images of caspase activities in dexamethasone-treated thymocytes. Time course of cells loaded with cell-permeable fluorogenic substrates for the detection of caspases corresponding to VEIDase (green) and DEVDase (red) activities. Yellow indicates the presence of both activities. These superimposed fluorescence and Nomarski images were taken at 25-min intervals starting at 120 min after introduction of dexamethasone.
